Kevin Turner is president of Peak Level Advisors, an independent representative of Money Concepts International and Benefit Planning, Inc. (BPI). BPI has served federal employees since 1987, providing training on federal benefit planning for Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) and Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS) employees. Kevin joined BPI in 2017 to increase his knowledge of federal employee benefits from the wealth of experience within the organization in order to be a stronger resource for his existing federal employee clients and to help other federal employees gain a better understanding of their benefits.

History
Kevin is a native of St. Louis, Missouri and is the son of an Army veteran who retired after more than 30 years working with the federal government. He received his undergraduate degree from The University of Kansas and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Webster University. Kevin entered the financial services industry, transitioning from a career in engineering where he worked for more than 15 years in industrial manufacturing. While working on his MBA degree, he discovered that he had a passion for personal finance and helping people make sense of their financial lives so they could properly plan for both their present and future. He joined the Money Concepts organization, initially working as an advisor associate in St. Louis, prior to opening Peak Level Advisors in 2004 upon moving to Atlanta, Georgia. During his financial services career, Kevin has obtained the Registered Financial Consultant (RFC®) and Certified Fund Specialists (CFS) designations. Throughout his time in the financial services industry, he has stressed the importance of comprehensive financial planning and good stewardship as the keys to his clients accomplishing their life goals.

Kevin believes in the importance of making informed decisions, so he makes a point of acting as an educator and coach for his clients and also enjoys sharing his financial insight by offering financial education within his community. He has facilitated workshops on various financial topics, with special emphasis on Social Security benefits and retirement readiness. Kevin brings that educational focus to his relationship with BPI to provide practical information to federal employees so they can make the most of their benefits and ensure that the decisions they make fit into their overall financial life plan.

Having served federal employee clients prior to joining BPI, Kevin had a good understanding of the federal benefits package, making sure those benefits integrated with the client’s financial plan. Since joining BPI, Kevin has developed a more in-depth understanding of the federal benefits system, including Thrift Saving Plan (TSP), Social Security Benefits, Federal Employee Group Life Insurance (FEGLI), CSRS/FERS Annuity calculations, CSRS/FERS Survivor Benefits, sick leave calculations, Military buy backs, CSRS Voluntary contributions, and service deposits. His goal is to make it easy for employees to understand how to use their benefits in a practical way to enhance their lives, taking maximum advantage of them while they are employed and as they transition into retirement.
